The Cartwright is a soft (plain) toe wellington boot with extra depth for a roomier feel. The full grain tumbled brown leather upper features a protective toe and heel. Comfort features include an ergonomic, removable insole with contoured soft rebound foam. This boot also has an MXgrip slip and oil resistant outsole and a waterproof membrane.

Poor quality

Rubber started pealing off side of boots after 1st wear.

It sounds like there may be a defect with the pair you received. I apologize for that! We inspect each pair before they ship out but unfortunately some manufacturing defects can't be seen. All of the brands we sell warranty their products to be free from defects and we stand behind everything we sell for the full 90 day return window (though some brands warranty their products for up to a year).
